Thanks! I'll note that the UK MHRA does seem to be pursuing a policy of faster drug approvals (see recent crispr approval). Although seems unlikely that NICE will back those regulatory incentives with economic incentives (i.e. paying US-like prices) anytime soon.
I like the idea of removing capital gains tax, Switzerland doesn't have it on investments and things seem to work well enough.
This is good stuff. Also, it might be good timing for the UK to step up in this area as the US becomes less attractive owing to the Inflation Reduction Act (see https://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2023/11/pharmaceutical-price-controls-and-the-marshmallow-test.html).
